We are looking for Customer Support volunteers to support at Greenfield Library.
We are looking for a volunteer with good communication skills who is comfortable working with families with young children. You must be very reliable and able to commit 3 hours on a Friday morning, on a regular basis.
Main activities/ tasks:
* Meeting and greeting service users,
* Supporting service users finding books and using self-service facilities
* Assisting with shelving revising and equalising book collections.
* Assisting with Bounce and Rhyme on Friday mornings.
What's involved?
Available for a two/ three hour slot within Greenfield Libraries opening times on a Friday morning:
Friday: 9.30am to 1.00pm
Qualities, skills and experience sought:
* Basic understanding of how the library service operates
* Good communication skills with staff, other volunteers and service users
* Patient and approachable manner
* Reliable and responsible
* Willing to support the Bounce and Rhyme group (Friday mornings only)
* Good IT skills
* Willing to develop knowledge and learn new skills
