Brew, Biscuits and Banter runs every Thursday 10am till 12:30pm at Oldham Library.
The purpose of the Brew, Biscuits & Banter Supporter role is to help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where people feel comfortable coming together for relaxed conversation and enjoy each other’s company over refreshments. The volunteer would play an important part in helping attendees feel valued, listened to, and at ease, particularly those who may feel lonely, anxious, or unsure about joining a group setting.
Volunteers are not expected to provide advice or formal support, but instead to listen, encourage inclusion, and help maintain a calm, friendly atmosphere. Where appropriate, they may gently signpost individuals to further support or information, always working within clear boundaries and with guidance from the group organisers.
